We take huge pride in our exceptional staff at Beaconsfield Childcare and recognise that ensuring their development has positive benefits for all of our children. With this in mind, we close the nurseries in Beaconsfield for one day annually so that we can get all our team together to have a staff training day. This year, this took place on 3rd April.

Sarah, owner of Beaconsfield Childcare explains why the training day is such an important part of life at nursery: “It is crucial for our staff to undertake training for their professional development and also to enhance the opportunities we are able to offer to all the children in our care. As a setting we invest a lot into staff training and the team attend many courses through the local authority; however, having the opportunity for the whole team to attend a full day’s training together solidifies new ideas and allows for staff to work together as a team.”

One of the key themes of the training day was maths – this is a current priority within our nurseries and a session called Magical Maths has helped our practitioners to discover exciting ways of integrating maths into all areas of the learning for the children.

It is only with the support of our families that Beaconsfield Childcare can run this training day, “We added the staff training day to the diary three years ago, and we really appreciate parents understanding with this,” explains Sarah, “thank you for being supportive and recognising the difference it makes to the provision we can offer your children.”
